Master of Science in Health Care Management

Admission Information
Admission to the Master of Science in Health Care Management Program is at the discretion of the College of Business Administration Committee on Graduate Admissions and the MS-HCM Director. To be considered for admission, all students must meet the graduate admissions standards, as described in the current UNO General/Graduate Catalog:

* Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
* GPA of at least 3.0 for undergraduate work
* Satisfactory academic standing at the last university or college attended
* Satisfactory admission test scores for the MS-HCM corresponds to a minimum score of 700 on the GRE or 400 on the GMAT with a 3.0 GPA.


Application Information
Applications must be submitted to the University of New Orleans by the applicable deadline. Application forms may be completed online through the 'Application' page at the top of the website.


The GMAT or GRE
The required GMAT or GRE is administered as a computer-adaptive test (CAT) throughout North America and at many international sites. To schedule your GMAT test in the USA and Canada, please go online to www.gmat.org or www.gre.org. The website will also provide a list of International Regional Registration Centers (RRC) where you can take the tests.


The TOEFL
Applicants whose native language is not English must achieve a minimum score of 550 (Paper-Based), 213 (Computer-Based) or 80(Internet-Based)on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).The TOEFL requirement may be waived if the applicant has earned a degree in an English-speaking institution. Students scoring below 650 on the TOEFL will be required to take an English Second Language (ESL) evaluation to determine if English courses are required.
The required TOEFL is usually administered in countries other than the USA; however, if you need to take the TOEFL in the USA, please contact Testing Services at the University of New Orleans at (504) 280-TEST or call 609-771-7100 in the USA or Canada areas. You may also visit the TOEFL website www.toefl.org.

Admission Deadlines

All credentials must be received before applications can be evaluated for admission to the MS-HCM Program.

Deadline to pay fees for FINAL REGISTRATION / SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENT (4:30 P.M.).

WebSTAR not accessible after 4:30 P.M.

Final date to add courses, change sections, or change from audit to credit.

Final date to drop course(s) and receive 100% refund. After this date, there is no refund for drops.

Final date to resign (withdraw from all courses) and receive 100% refund (less $50 and appropriate non-refundable fees).

Final date to receive a parking decal refund.

Deadline to file an Application for Degree and to pay graduation fees for Summer Graduation.

Express Provisional Admission ends.

WebSTAR active for dropping courses (8:30 A.M.).
 
June 8 
Final date to drop course(s) or resign and not have course(s) recorded.

From June 9 through July 9 an automatic “W” will be recorded for all courses dropped.
 
June 11 
Final date to change from credit to audit. 

June 13 
50% REFUND. Final date to resign (withdraw from all courses) and receive 50% refund (less appropriate non-refundable fees). No refunds made for partial reduction in course enrollment. 

June 20 
25% REFUND. Final date to resign (withdraw from all courses) and receive 25% refund (less appropriate non-refundable fees). No refunds made for partial reduction in course enrollment.
 
July 1
Application for Admission deadline for 2012 Fall Semester without paying late fees.
 
August 1
Late Application for Admission deadline for 2012 Fall Semester. Applications received after this date will only be considered for non-degree status.

August 2
 
Official Degree Conferral date for Summer 2012 degree completers.
 
August 10
Deadline to pay tuition and fees. Students not paid by 4:30 P.M. will be purged.
